Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha - Chelle:
*eARC received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

Wake to Darkness was another truly epic and tantalizing read in the Brown and de Luca universe.

Maggie introduced a wonderful twist on the antagonist, some serious character growth and development, and plenty more of what we all want - Rachel snark, Mason goodness, and Myrtle. :)

This second installment picks up a few months after the events of Sleep With the Lights on, though this book could stand alone (although I wouldn't suggest it, you're missing some fantastic reading!).

Like book #1, there's a killer on the loose, but this time, the culprit is targeting recipients of Eric's organs, and in a twist from book #1, Rachel has dreams from the perspective victims this time, not the killer, which lends a truly heightened emotional edge to the events that unfold.

The family dynamic in this installment is a large part of the story, and it was great to get more info on both Rachel's family and Mason's and watch as they helped to bring Rachel and Mason's on again, off again relationship status to a head. Finally! And there are most certainly some sexy moments to enjoy... just sayin'.

While I did see the identity of our killer before it was ultimately revealed, it didn't detract from the big reveal at all, and Maggie most definitely shook things up with this big bad. :)

Another superb read Maggie!
