[Archive] LITERAL ADDICTION's Review of Primal Law

J.D Tyler is an award-winning, multi-published author who writes for New American Library under three pseudonyms. Whether this is due to an overdose of ambition or a multiple personality affliction, she’ll never tell.
J.D. writes dark, sexy paranormal romance and has a huge thing for shifters, vampires, the Fae, and just about everything else that goes bump and grind in the night. She can’t get enough of those dangerous supernatural heroes, and the fun of creating her own was just too much temptation to resist… so she didn’t. J.D. doesn’t do self-denial.
When she isn’t writing, J.D.’s idea of a good time certainly isn’t cleaning house (sniff), bungee jumping (not in this lifetime, or the next), or camping (her idea of “roughing it” is a slow bellboy). She enjoys reading, being pampered like the diva she is, and spending time with her awesome family. She lives in Texas with her husband and two teenagers.
Primal Law, Book One of the Alpha Pack series
Author:  J.D Tyler
Synopsis
Founded by a group of former Navy SEALS, the Alpha Pack is a top-secret team of wolf shifters with Psy powers tasked with eliminating the most dangerous predators in the world. But the gift of their abilities comes at a price…
After a massacre decimates half his team and leaves him crippled, Jaxon Law must relearn how to fight—and battle the anger and guilt threatening to overwhelm him. But when he rescues a beautiful woman who reawakens his primal instincts, Jax is unprepared for the dangers that lie ahead.
On the run from her employer, brilliant lab assistant Kira Locke has evidence that leads the Alpha Pack on a hunt for someone targeting human civilians with Psy abilities. And as Jax and Kira circle both the killer and each other, Jax will have to decide if the deep connection he feels with Kira is worth breaking the ultimate shifter rule—because bonding with Kira means putting his abilities at risk, and they might be the only tools he has to keep his mate alive…
Our Review [by LITERAL ADDICTION’s Pack Alpha - Michelle L Olson]:
Being the intelligent, curious woman that she is, Kira finds herself questioning what is really going on at the research facility she works for.  Getting a rush of bravery, she decides to take matters into her own hands and find out just what kind of secrets her bosses are keeping.

Jaxon is a military guy officially on leave for the weekend and looking for a good time in Vegas, until he’s thrown into the middle of Kira’s little plan and everything goes to hell.
Thrown together by circumstance, the two must work with one another, though the one thing they’ll have to work hardest at is making a decision what to do about the undeniable attraction between them.

The character premise of this book was amazing… Shifters who each have additional psychic gifts as well, working together to rid the world of the bad guys, both human and non.

The minute you meet each of the characters and learn their affinities, you develop an instant love for them, even if you already liked them before based on personality alone, you can’t help but start to pick your favorites and wish for the next books in the series before the first is even finished.  Add to that the fact that each and every one of them have a back-story that defines them and you have the first book of a series that will have you swearing because you have to wait for the next installment.

This book has everything; and I mean everything!!  Shifters of multiple varieties, gremlins, sorcerers, necromancers, Fey, special-ops soldiers, government conspiracies, romance, mystery, action, wit… I could go on and on.  I read several reviews that said that it was overdone and unbelievable.  Hello, it’s paranormal!  As LITERAL ADDICTION’s motto says, “Beyond the natural and the normal lie the Supernatural and Paranormal.  Anything less…. Just isn’t enough!”

The storyline was jam packed, but in my personal opinion, not overwhelming in the least.  It had a logical flow –beginning, crescendo, end – that had me literally vocalizing my discontent, excitement, etc while reading, and reading the last page with one though firmly in mind, “Aw, come on!  I have to wait until 2012!!?”.  J

LITERAL ADDICTION Paranormal Book Club gives this book 5 Skulls and would recommend it to Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy, and Magick and Shifter fans far and wide.  As some of the low rating reviews will tell you though, if you’re looking for a simple, single storyline PNR, this is not it!  If you’re looking for a fast paced, action packed romance overflowing with paranormal that will have you squealing from mid-book throughout…this is a definite read!!

I cannot wait for Book #2!  Huge kudos J.D!  J

Tempted, Eternal Guardians Book #3
Author:  Elisabeth Naughton
SynopsisDEMETRIUS—He’s the hulking, brooding warrior his fellow Guardians avoid. Too dark. Too damaged. And given his heritage, he knows it’s best to keep everyone at arm’s length.
Isadora is missing. The words pounded through his head like a frantic drumbeat. For her own protection, Demetrius had done all he could to avoid the fragile princess, his soul mate. And now she was gone—kidnapped. To get her back, he’ll have to go to the black place in his soul he’s always shunned. As daemons ravage the human realm and his loyalty to the Guardians is put to the ultimate test, Demetrius realizes that Isadora is stronger than anyone thought. And finally letting her into his heart may be the only way to save them both.

Our Review [by LA’s Pack Alpha Michelle L Olson]:
WOW!  All of the elements you want, need, and dream about for a phenomenal mythological fantasy and so, so much more.  Gods, Goddesses, Witches…  Heroes sweeping in to rescue their princesses and save the day…  Those are just a few of the things that this book will give you as a reader.
Demetrius is sort of a tough nut to crack.  He’s edgy, gritty and just a wee bit cocky, but under the surface you can tell that he’s not quite what he appears and that there may be more than meets the eye-- Especially since it’s quite obvious that he uses this persona to distance himself from the very lovely Isadora.
Isadora is a spoiled Princess who has been kidnapped and is in some pretty deep doo doo.  She tries her hardest to escape, but when the one holding you isn’t a stranger, it makes things just that much more difficult.
Torn by his honor and duty to rescue Isadora and his desire to protect her from himself, Demetrius throws himself into the fray like any good hero would.  While he’s done pretty much everything he can to keep the distance between them up to this point and come off as a cold S.O.B in order to protect her from the darkness within himself, them ending up stranded together and fighting for their lives starts to melt that ice and they both start to come to terms with the inevitable.
Isadora changes as well.  She goes from spoiled, pampered princess to strong and independent woman.  These changes in herself seem to bring about a clarity for her regarding Demetrius as well, and she realizes that he’s not being truthful with her.  The more she picks at the chips in the paint, the more she can see of the true canvas underneath, though this is one complex canvas to unveil.
Elisabeth does a smashing job of keeping Isadora in the dark while letting the readers in on Demetrius’s secrets, which just makes the things he does more heroic and makes you fall in love with him even more.  Add to that the fact that this book has non-stop action and adventure, sexy, steamy romance, and poetic imagery so vivid that things as intangible as an emotion are plainly written all over the characters’ faces (pun intended) and it’s sort of the perfect read.
For those that read and loved the first 2 books of the series, all of the Argonauts make a return appearance; Callia and Casey, Hades, Orpheus (who plays a very big part and has some of the most spectacular dialogue ever), Atalanta causing as much (if not more!) trouble as usual, and Nick.
Tempted is a non-stop wonderfully crazy adventure that you don’t ever want to stop!  You will be hooked from the very first page, and you will be so utterly and completely captivated by the story you will want for nothing more than to get lost in the tale forever.

DISCLAIMER:  make sure you have plenty of time for this one because housework, grocery shopping, that ‘Charlie Brown’  “Whaa wa waaaa” from the DH… They’re going to be completely ignored until you turn the last page!  And then you might as well warn the family in advance too, because you’re going to be peeved for a couple of hours afterwards (regardless of the euphoric high you’ll get) because the next book isn’t available yet!

So if you couldn’t guess, LITERAL ADDICTION Paranormal Book Club gives Tempted 5 Skulls (we’d give it more if we could!) and would recommend it to, well… EVERYONE!!

Keep them coming Elisabeth!  We have questions that need answers and you’re the only one who can deliver these scrumptious Argonauts in true Naughton fashion…

[Archive] LITERAL ADDICTION's Review of The Reluctant Vampire

Lynsay Sands is the Ontario born New York Times bestselling author of the Argeneau Vampire series. She has written more than 34 books and anthologies since her first novel was published in 1997. Her romantic comedies span three genres—historical, contemporary, and paranormal—and have made the Waldenbooks, Barnes & Noble, USA Today, and New York Times bestseller lists.

Lynsay’s books are read in more than twelve countries and have been translated into at least six languages. She's been a nominee for both the Romantic Times Best Historical Romance Award and the Romantic Times Best Paranormal Romance Award, was nominated and placed three times in the RIO (Reviewers International Organization) Awards of Excellence, and has several books on All About Romance's Favorite Funnies list.

The Reluctant Vampire, Argeneau #15
Author:  Lynsay Sands
Synopsis
Has this immortal finally met her match?
Rogue hunter Drina Argenis (from the Spanish side of the Argeneau family) has been many things in her years as an immortal, but bodyguard/babysitter to a teenage vampire is something new. There's an incentive, however: the other vampsitter, Harper Stoyan, may be Drina's life mate.
Trouble is, having just lost a life mate, Harper is resigned to being alone. He's completely unprepared when sexy and unpredictable Drina bursts into his life to reignite his passions. Can Drina, with a little matchmaking help from their teen charge, tempt this reluctant vampire to take a chance?
Or will a dangerous, unseen renegade kill Drina and Harper's one chance at happiness?

Our Review [by Michelle L Olson & Jennifer Vayda]:

Drina has been sent by Lucian and Marguerite to Port Henry to help protect Stephanie from a jerk that looks like he’ll stop at nothing to get his grubby mits on her. Stephanie isn't the only vamp Drina is keeping her eye on though...
After being picked up at the airport by tall, dark and rude (a.k.a Anders who not much for the talking), Drina meets Harper.  After doing so, Drina notices that her appetite has returned and that she’s getting peeks into Harper’s thoughts—2 very important signs that indicate the two are lifemates.  The problem is, Harper feels that he doesn’t deserve another chance at happiness, and so Drina is thrown into 2 fights, and she’s not willing to give up on either easily.
Drina is warned ahead of time that she’ll have a hard time convincing Harper that he’s worthy and that he should give love a chance, and though he was a bit of a stick-in-the-mud in the beginning he wasn’t as difficult as everyone kept saying.  A lot of that had to do with the fact that little Stephanie just could keep her nosy little match making thoughts out of the mix, and pretty much tied herself into knots trying to help Drina get Harper to realize what everyone else already knew…That he and Drina are meant for each other.
Together, Drina and Harper’s relationship was “awww!” worthy, & there were several Sandstastic ‘naked and unconscious on the floor’ moments.  Outside of the relationship I found Harper average, loveable but baseline.  Drina was a big plus though.  She is a a self assured female who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to grab it.  She’s also smart, sexy, deep and a warrior in more than 1 way.
While The Reluctant Vampire wasn’t our favorite of the series thus far, it was still a thoroughly enjoyable read. Slightly more romance based than the previous Rogue Hunter installments, it’s great for those that got hooked on the Argeneau series because of that, and fans and followers of the series will be happy to reunite with some of their favorite cast members.
While it could be read alone we would strongly suggest that you not.
All in all, LITERAL ADDICTION Paranormal Book Club gives The Reluctant Vampire 4  Skulls and would recommend it to Lynsay Sands and Argeneau fans, and Paranormal Romance readers who like wit in their read.

Prince Eternal:  Sacred Soul, Book One of the Prince Eternal Trilogy

Author:  Monique Marie
Synopsis
Enter a world of darkness and forbidden love…
Vladimir Dracula, born to a gypsy woman who was seduced by Lucifer, returns home to his clan after fourteen years of exile.  Upon his return, Vlad discovers his cousin Vashti, with whom he shares a mysterious bond, seeks his death.
Vashti struggles against Vlad’s alluring sensuality in order to avenge her father’s death.  Once she learns of his taste for the purest of wines—blood—Vashti discovers how deeply they are bonded.
As Prince of Wallachia, Vlad leads an army against the Turks, while he fights to keep his soul from Lucifer’s grasp. To save Vashti from the ensuing darkness, he vows to sacrifice his own life…and his immortal soul. Vashti must convince him that by sacrificing himself, Vlad condemns them both…

Our Review [notes by Jennifer Vayda, review by Michelle L Olson]:
Monique Marie provides an extraordinary twist on the tale of Vladimir Dracula; a story that truly makes you delve into and understand the trials and tribulations of Vlad and what he had to go through in his battle against virtually life itself.
Vlad is born to a peasant woman who slept with Lucifer not knowing that it was the devil himself.  His mother wants nothing to do with Vlad after he’s born, and for better or worse, he is left an orphan.  In all of Vlad’s life, there is only one person he feels truly wants and accepts him and who gives him a semblance of peace; his cousin Vashti.
As Vlad grows up, he’s forced away from Vashti to fight with the Turks and must endure an evil Prince who loves nothing more than the act of torture itself.  Unlike the history that we’re familiar with, it’s not Vlad who does the torturing.  Instead, Vlad is a sympathetic character and you can’t help but feel for him and feel WITH him.
In the act of trying to help some of the Prince’s victims, Vlad runs into Vashti again, but they don’t connect.  She, like us, thinks that it is Vlad doing these despicable things and cannot help but vent her rage, and Vlad doesn’t understand why she’s acting the way she is when all he has done was try to survive and help, all the while thinking about Vashti and using her memory to keep above the evil that threatens to overwhelm his soul.
Vashti is under the impression that Vlad was the one to rob her of everything, and all she sees is the evil in him (or the evil that was constructed based on what was said about him at any rate).  She relies on Alton, a man who has been like a father to her, who has shown her the ways of a warrior, and how to protect her heart.  Unfortunately, her heart has always belonged to Vlad, though she has never understood ‘why’.
Vlad almost gives in to despair when he adds fighting an invisible evil keeping him away from the one he loves to the never ending battle that has followed him each and every day of his life.  He knows that if he gives in to the evil around him he’ll be giving in to Lucifer and therefore letting him win and finally take EVERYTHING from him, but he’s literally willing to sacrifice everything for Vashti, and there’s no denying  the changes taking place in himself…
Prince Eternal:  Sacred Soul was an enlightening read!  A topsy turvy tumble into the world of Vladimir Dracula—how he came to be who and what we all assumed him to be based on stories in history, who he really is, etc.  It definitely made us change our perception of Vlad, and it made us love him even more!
LITERAL ADDICTION Paranormal Book Club gives Prince Eternal:  Sacred Soul 5 Skulls and would highly recommend it to Urban Fantasy, Dark Urban Fantasy, & Paranormal Romance Readers of the adult persuasion who love a truly gripping vampire tale.

[Archive] LITERAL ADDICTION's Review of The Morrigna

Rachel Rawlings is an author of Urban Fantasy novels. Her first book, The Morrigna, was published in 2010. She is currently working on her second book in The Maurin Kincaide Series, Witch Hunt. She currently lives in Maryland with her husband, three children and two fish.

The Morrigna, Maurin Kincaide, Book #1
Author:  Rachel Rawlings
SynopsisI'm Maurin Kincaide, a psychometric, and until a few days ago I was working for Salem's Preternatural Task Force as an interrogator. I cracked more cold cases and got more confessions than anyone else in the department. Of course that was before I traded in my badge for an ancient Celtic sword. Now, I'm the Special Liaison for the Council, the governing body of the Others, and I take my orders from witches, werewolves and vampires.

I didn't just make a career change though. I'm not the same person I was before. I'm stronger, I can heal from wounds that would kill a normal person. I'm developing latent psychic skills at a breakneck speed. Oh yeah, and it would seem that a Pagan goddess has taken permanent residence in my body and mind. Crazy thing is, I'm starting to feel normal, like this is who I'm supposed to be.

Of course, there are those who don't agree. Morrigan and her sisters for example. Actually, I'm pretty sure they'd like nothing more than to see me dead. And if I can't stop them and the demons they've raised, they just might get their wish
.

Our Review [By LITERAL ADDICTION’s Bewitching Bella-Charity Costa]:
Morrigna is the 1st book in the Maurin Kincade series by Rachel Rawlings. It is a paranormal genre novel, which includes characters from all paranormal species vamps, weres, gods and witches all make up a cast of characters that leave us a little confused at the end of the book.
Morrigna starts off with our main character Maurin in her everyday life as a psychometric working for Salem's Preternatural Task Force as an interrogator. This book is set in present day but humans are aware of the existence of the supernatural. Maurine works with this task force to keep the humans safe from the paranormal. This day seems ordinary to Maurin till she interrogates someone that can see her mind instead of her just peeking into theirs for answers. This starts her whirlwind weekend in motion.
Without giving the whole story away Maurin discovers there's more to her than she ever realized and that she has been chosen to save the world. Over the course of a few days she realizes her world will never be the same.
I was left a little empty at the end of this book so many unanswered questions and a feeling of being lost by the time I was done. I would have loved to learn more about the characters so I could have been attached to them. I felt by the end of the book they were still all strangers to me.
I have read many books in this genre so I could see whee the author wanted to take us with the story but I couldn't help but think wow that came out of no where now I'm feeling like I have no clue what's going on.
I'm going to definitely read the second book in this series which comes out by the end of this year, before I write off the books, I'm hopping that in book 2 there will be a lot more clarification and we get the chance to go deeper with the characters and get all of our questions answered.
Overall, LITERAL ADDICTION Paranormal Book Club gives The Morrigna 3 Skulls.

Lisa Beth Darling has been married for the last 25 years to her wonderful husband, Roy. The two live in New London, CT where they raised two (now adult) daughters.

Her latest full-length novel The Heart of War blends timeless Greek Mythology with Erotica, Romance, and Suspense as Ares God of War falls in love with Alena, a seemingly fragile Fey. The lovely Alena is on the run from Cernunnos, Celtic God of the Forest and Death. The peace and quiet of Ares' secluded Greek isle is interrupted when the Olympians demand he turned her over to them. Glorious battles, hot romance, and dark passions combine in "The Heart of War".

Today, Lisa brings conflict, passion, love, and suspense to unique couples through her full length novels. The Heart of War, OF WAR series, Book #1
Author:  Lisa Beth Darling
Synopsis
The Heart of War blends timeless Greek Mythology with Erotica, Romance, and Suspense as Ares God of War falls in love with Alena, a seemingly fragile Fey.

Our Review [By LITERAL ADDICTION’s Pack Alpha-Michelle L Olson]:
Ares, God of War, has been exiled from Olympus and lives on his own private island with his harem of women.  He’s pretty much what you’d expect from A God of War—a misogynistic jerk with little to no regard for the value of a woman and you can’t help but hate him.  When a new women washes up on his private beach, Ares is in for quite the surprise (or SURPRISES as it would seem), and you find yourself softening to him as the story progresses.
Maggie (Magdalena by birth, called Alena by Ares) washes up on a shore with a spotty memory, a gritty past, an attitude, and several secrets.  When she meets her new host, her life as she knew it becomes something entirely new.  When you first meet Alena it’s hard to like her because you really don’t know much about her.  You feel for her as tidbits are revealed, but at first she seems somewhat naïve and vulnerable.  That doesn’t last long.  She becomes the heroine you want in a paranormal romance and then some.
If you’re a fan of mythology you will absolutely love this book!  It explores close to all of the Greek Gods and Goddesses as well as several of the Celtic Gods and Goddesses and lesser magickal beings as well.
As for overall storyline, this book has it all, but as Lisa’s website states, her books are not for the faint of heart!  The book was an action packed thrill ride full of twists and turns and surprises you’d never see coming.  It had steamy romance, gut churning violence, heart pumping action sequences, witty dialogue, vivid imagery, & head scratching mystery and intrigue.
There were characters you loved, characters you loathed, characters you just couldn’t get a good grasp on because they were so mysterious, and supporting characters that brought everything together nicely.
From a series standpoint, I felt that this first book was a greatly laid foundation for the next installments.  Though readers who dislike significant back-story may find pieces of it boring and drawn out, I personally felt that it was necessary to set up the remainder of the series going forward.
I do have put in a caveat for Kindle eBook readers.  There are numerous errors in the Kindle copy from Amazon.  If you have an internal editor that you just can’t shut off, it might be wise to read the book in a different format.  Or just do as I did and tell your inner editor to shut the hell up because the story was too good to put down because of typos, missing words, etc!
All in all, LITERAL ADDICTION Paranormal Book Club gives The Heart of War 4 Skulls, and would definitely recommend it to Fantasy and Romance Readers who like their PNRs edgy, gritty, and not all hearts and flowers.

[Archive] LITERAL ADDICTION's Review of The Lost

Caridad Pineiro was born in Havana, Cuba and settled in the New York Metropolitan area after coming to the States.  She attended Villanova University (Go Wildcats!) on a Presidential Scholarship and graduated magna cum laude.  Caridad earned her juris doctor from St. John’s University and became the first female partner of Abelman, Frayne & Scwab, and intellectual property firm in midtown Manhattan.
She is a multi-published and award-winning author whose love of the written word developed when her fifth grade teacher assigned a project – to write a book that would be placed in a class lending library. She has been hooked on writing ever since.
When not writing, Caridad teaches workshops on various topics related to writing and heads a writing group.
The Lost, Sin Hunters series, Book #1
Author:  Caridad Pineiro
SynopsisAdam Bruno is no ordinary millionaire. The heir to an ancient race possessing a dark, powerful magic, he can shapeshift and create energy. His gifts make him a living weapon and have forced him to live in seclusion. But now an inhuman force hunts down Adam-just when he finds someone who makes him feel more human than he ever imagined possible . . .
Home from combat in Iraq, Bobbie Carerra wants only peace, yet soon joins Adam in a terrifying battle against paranormal enemies who hide in plain sight. She's drawn to his strength of mind and body; he's attracted to her courage and intoxicating energy. Their scorching passion can either transport them to the heights of ecstasy or-if Adam's powers rage out of control-destroy them. But when an invisible brotherhood tightens its nets and someone Adam trusts betrays him, only a heartrending decision can save them.

Our Review [By LITERAL ADDICTION’s Pack Alpha-Michelle L Olson]:
Since readers look to reviews to steer them in a direction, I’m going to give it to you straight and from the heart.  I’m a big Caridad Pineiro fan!  I devoured her entire Calling series in I think 3 sittings, but I was very apprehensive about this book.  Every time I picked it up and read the synopsis I’d give myself a little mental ‘Eh, I don’t know…’ and set it back down, only to pick it up again the minute I was ready for a new book.  I’m a paranormal junkie, and there seemed to be enough of that outlined in the blurb, so I was having troubles pinning down exactly what my problem was.  Finally I took a deep breath and just jumped in.  Know what?  I finished it in 2 sittings and that was only because I had to go to work and put it down.  J

Adam was just a boy when his adoptive father found him in the dessert with no memory and lots of questions.  20 years later, Adam finds himself a millionaire running a cutting edge technology company, yet he still has no answers, and in fact, has a  lot more questions regarding who and what he is, where he came from, the extent of his gifts, etc.  Adam hopes that by continuing to do research and development for his company, he may uncover some truths about himself as well.
Bobbie is a veteran newly home from the war and healing both physically and emotionally.  When Bobbie and Adam’s paths cross in the midst of a kidnapping attempt, Bobbie’s ‘forever a soldier’ mentality kicks in and she can’t stop herself from jumping to help, though she had no idea just what she was getting herself into.
Now a team by circumstance, Adam and Bobbie must figure out what is going on, how to stay 1 step ahead, and how to deal with the undeniable and world altering attraction between them.
On the outskirts, you have the 2 groups who are after Adam for 1 reason or another—The Light Hunters, those who gather energy peacefully and naturally from nature and things around them, and the Shadows, a faction of Light Hunters that evolved into something much less peaceful over time, and steal rather than borrow energies.
What you ultimately end up with is an emotional roller-coaster full of excitement, regret, love, passion, uncertainty, betrayal, retribution, and so much more!
The book was incredibly written; very vivid imagery, even with things as intangible as intent, strong well developed characters with clearly defined purpose and background, and a love affair that while fast, was truly believable.
From a series standpoint, this first book was a greatly laid foundation for the next installments.  Though readers who dislike cliff-hangers will be shouting profanities and throwing things as they turn the last page, the meat of the story was wrapped up nicely and those questions that both the characters and the reader needed answers to from page 1 are brought to light.
All in all, LITERAL ADDICTION Paranormal Book Club gives The Lost 4 1/2 Skulls, and would recommend it to Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance and even some Sci-Fi readers.

[Archive] LITERAL ADDICTION's Review of This Glamorous Evil

Michele Hauf has been writing romance, action-adventure and fantasy stories for over nineteen years. Her first published novel was DARK RAPTURE.
France, musketeers, vampires and faeries populate her stories. And if she followed the adage 'write what you know', all her stories would have snow in them. Fortunately, she steps beyond her comfort zone and writes about countries she has never visited and of creatures she has never seen.

This Glamorous Evil
Author:  Michele Hauf
Synopsis
Throughly Jones (T.J.) is a witch who practices dark magic and is desperate to rescue his brother from Daemonia. He needs to circumvent the usual methods to conduct demons because he's after a big catch. But will cat-shifting familiar, Star, agree to cut out the middle man and work exclusively with T.J.? That would involve them having sex to conduct a demon. But she wants a real relationship, without 'work sex' getting in the way. Can the two share the most intimate of connections to get the rescue job done, or will love toss a kink into their plans?

Our Review [By LITERAL ADDICTION’s Pack Alpha-Michelle L Olson]:
Another knock out hit by the FABULOUS Ms Hauf!  I have only one negative comment about this book…it was too short!!  J

From the very first paragraph, the book captures your interest with its vivid detailing and witty prose.  After the first chapter you’re invested and can’t wait to see what happens next.  After the first half you’re squealing with glee because it’s so good.  Upon the final sentence you sigh happily yet seethe internally that there isn’t more to be read.

In true Michele Hauf fashion, This Glamorous Evil is a dark, delicious, wickedly sexy read with action, intrigue and a final voice like no one else can deliver.

LITERAL ADDICTION Paranormal Book Club gives This Glamorous Evil 5 Skulls (we’d give more if we could), and would HIGHLY recommend it to Paranormal Romance fans far and wide!
