[Archive] LITERAL ADDICTION's Review of Malakai

Michele Hauf has been writing romance, action-adventure and fantasy stories for over nineteen years. Her first published novel was “Dark Rapture”.
France, musketeers, vampires, and faeries populate her stories. And if she followed the adage ‘write what ou know’, all her stories would have snow in them. Fortunately she steps beyond her comfort zone and writes about countries she has never visited and creatures she has never seen.
The proud creator of the BEWITCHING THE DARK, WICKED GAMES, OF ANGELS AND DEMONS, CHANGELINGS, THE NETWORK, THE SAINT-SYLVESTRES, and THIS WITCHERY series, Michele continues to amaze release after release.

Malakai

The valiant werewolf, Kai, will soften her heart and she, in turn, will force him to face his greatest fear—to win her love.

Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha - Michelle L. Olson:
I'm a huge Michele Hauf fan. I can honestly say that I have not met a Michele Hauf book that I haven't liked. Some I have adored, some I have loved, some were just incredibly enjoyable in different ways, but I have liked them all. Malakai was absolutely fantastic! When Michele told me that she was self-pubbing Blu and Creed's son's story, I immediately pre-ordered it and am so glad that I had a chance to sit down and devour it.

First off, this story is HOT! Michele didn't hold back at all and I absolutely loved it. From the very first page it was immediately anticipatory and steamy, and oddly, as is known to happen for me with Paranormal Romance Novellas, it didn't seem forced or rushed.

I really enjoyed the whole 'forbidden love' thing that was going on with Kai and Rissa, and the action, suspense, and semi-surprising turns of events that led to their ultimate happy ending were fabulous.

I also enjoyed how Michele used an Epilogue to get us further into the future with the couple after things all worked out, thus setting things up should they appear in another book (one of the things I absolutely love about Michele's writing!), and/or for the eventual story of their daughter, Daisy (I hope!).

LITERAL ADDICTION gives Malakai 5 Skulls and definitely recommends it. Not only to Michele Hauf fans who know who the characters are, but to all Paranormal Romance fans.

Thank goodness Michele is a writing machine, because I hate waiting for her next book. :)
